Planning your Wedding
Dependent on how much time you have between the engagement, and when you want to be married, this scheduling guide may want to be evolved to fit your timetable. As fast as you are engaged, or at least six months before your marriage there are things that have to be done. The more time you have to plan, the more probable will be your odds of getting the venues and sellers you need. At half a year to one year before the marriage : have engagement statements put in the paper in each of your hometowns and in the local paper where you reside. Settle on a budget and who will pay for what. Visit with the priest or official who will perform the event, book the Church or other rite site. Get quotes from photographers, musicians, florists, and limo services. Do not forget to help your mom and his find outfits.
Book limos, musicians and photographers. Order the cake. See your doctors and dentists. Between two and three month Select going away outfit, and finish choosing the clothes you will bring on the honeymoon, do not forget toiletries and female products, and basis over the counter medication like aspirin and sinus medicines.
Make hair and make-up appointments. Register at two present registries.
Mail the invites, select a menu and give the caterer an initial head count. Buy Marriage Insurance one and months to two months, decide on music and specials songs like father girl dance, and first dance songs and decide on readings for the celebration. 4-5 weeks- fitting for bride and attendants and confirm musicians, shutter-bug, flowers and limousines. Give caterers an up dated count, and if need be order flatware, dishes, cups tissues etc Confirm make-up and hairstylist appointments. 2-3 weeks- remember the wedding license, give everybody there schedule and list of obligations. 1 day one week confirm numbers with the caterer, have walkthrough and walk through dinner.
Pick-up programs for rite, finish packing for the honeymoon, give gifts to attendants, finish the time for limo to pick up the bride. At the rehearsal dinner give the best man the envelopes for all charges due at the marriage. GET SOME SLEEP! The Huge Day- get up early. Get dressed with assistance from your mother and bridesmaid-in-chief, get to the event just a bit bi tlate. This is in no way a decisive tick list, it is just intended to get you going.
