K’Shani Private Game Reserve is conveniently situated less than 5 km from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and is only 20 km from Nelspruit, the capital of the Mpumalanga Province. Out of the most diverse piece of African nature of ± 2 400 ha (6000 acres), with more than 2000 head of game, including White Rhino, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra and many other game species, K’Shani Private Game Reserve offers exclusivity and unspoilt natural beauty. Major tourist attractions such as the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrims’ Rest and others are located within one to two hours drive from the property.
Operating as a 5 Star Reserve , we currently offer three different camps namely K’Shani , Hlatini and Duze camp offering Luxury Accommodation to Self Catering facilities. On the Reserve an entire spectrum of outdoor activities is offered, and includes the following: Abseiling, 4 x 4 Ecotourism game drives, Swimming, 4 x 4 Self drive routes, Fishing, Quad biking, Bird watching, Horseback riding, Fauna and Flora, Hiking trials and Mountain Biking.
A brief background to K’Shani….
K’Shani Private Game Reserve originated in 1995 with the acquiring of the first of several unsuccessful farming operations and in the year 2000 a massive process of clearing out of the fence line and fencing off the farms started in order to facilitate the re-introduction of the Big Game species from high quality gene pools from all over the country, which used to occur in that a part of our country, a total of 40km’s of Game Electrified Fencing was erected, with the incorporation of four separate breeding camps specifically for Rhino’s, Nyala, Buffalo(“clean”) and Sable.
Rehabilitation started off by eradicating 400hectares of invasive-unattended Bluegum Plantations overgrown by Lantana, Jacaranda, Fame Thorn, Guava, and Blackwhatle.
The Reserve is privately owned and this ensures that personal attention and a passion for service excellence is of the highest priority and thus remains a living example of the harmonious cohabitation of agriculture, tourism and wildlife.
